Why is RAGE SO DAME SHORT.

Why is this game so :shocking: short, i mean come on the price you was selling this for. Not to mention 3 disks and for what i expected better for all the hype that this game was coming out with i loved all the doom games and i expected lots of battles weapons specially the gore factor was limp, come on you guys. Us heavy gamers need a challenge i completed it in 18hrs 46 mins, is this you all have to offer. :shakehead:

Good points was the throwing blade loved and the sentry bots changed slightly from doom 3 but still i likes them, but you guys got no imagination at all.
When making a game why not come to us the heavy gamers for ideas we could make you a game that kept people going for months not hrs, we wait days months for hard challenges and deep battles where we are swearing at the game as its so hard.

The AI was limp, the weapons were good, the mind control darts was useless no point having them in at all- what is the point of controlling some Guy when you cant see where he is going not to mention you walk like you are drunk. When I first saw this in the inventory I thought great now I can use them to kill there own team members. except they act like something from scanners.

i could have played the whole game with throwing blades. But I did love them

The car was OK, but I expected a game like (Fallout 3 Full Sandbox game) drive anywhere, its what Fallout 3 needed. But this I expected to drive, pillage and kill but when I was in a car I was excited for a total of 20 mins when I realised I cant go anywhere I wanted. You all need to Watch Mad Max and think movies for games you have earth that is open and vast. why not have places that are infected and hazzerds deadly creatures, where rats that has mutated birds that attack you or see them eating some dead guy, where is the interactiveness of the game.
I could sit with you guys and fill this game up with lots of improvements and ideas where this game would last months to complete.

I feel now is there any point in buying a game from Bethesda again, as I am shocked with the lack of content.

the whole game felt like a x mass cracker novelty toy.
I wont be buying anything eles like this again my £40 was not well spent.
not happy you really need to pull up your socks. :banghead:

It's not really short. If you take time to explore every nook and cranny there's maybe 30 hours worth of gameplay in it, and it has decent replay value too.

The size of the game is not really an indication of it's length, and many people seem to be having some serious difficulty in understanding this. The reason for the size is unique texturing on everything. This is one of those features that you either love or you say "so what, big deal" to, but you need to bear in mind that like all innovations it's something of an acquired taste when you first encounter it. I remember the Quake vs Duke 3D wars back in 1996, when people unfavourably compared Quake to Duke, and didn't really understand what was going on in Quake. With hindsight Duke actually turned out to be the last hurrah of a dying rendering paradigm (2.5 D) whereas Quake was the one that really showed the way forward. I'm not saying that unique texturing is going to have the same degree of impact on the industry (if nothing else it's wayyyy too early to make a guess) but what I am saying is that this is the first time in a long time that we've been faced with something so radically new and different, so a bit of confusion, misunderstanding and unfavourable comparisons are to be expected.
