i'd like to know a way to play the classic doom on my laptop and i am with Win7 Ultimate 64bit.
And please let emulators be the last option

I hear http://www.dosbox.com/ can be used to run the original exe in Windows 7 environment, though i haven't tried it myself. Also there was a Windows 95 release of the Doom executable, which might be possible to get working on Win7?

Personally i use the http://zdoom.org/News source port, that can be configured to run exactly like the original exe, including bugs :lmao:
