Anyone as excited as I am for the new update coming next wee

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:21 am

Only thing I am really looking forward to is the Ambient Occlusion optimizations and cpu optimizations, hopefully my game will run smoother, granted on lvls like container city I get 30 - 50 fps and other games I get 50 - 70 fps, lmao, however, I only have decals on and my res set to 1360x768.

I'm really looking forward to the sound-fail fix. I have AO off, and its not a huge deal, but if the patch lets me turn it on without hurting my FPS in the way it does not that'd be nice.

I'm not having many real problems other than that.

Hopefully it will help your case, however did you even make sure you have your sound set to stereo within you control panel? I heard a lot people that didn't have it set to stereo didn't get any sound and once they changed it, it worked for them.

Hear you there, even though I don't have the issue, would like for a lot of others who do have it to be able to play, although... lmao, I don't think I'd call them lazy, a lot has to take place to get that crap to run straight, I should know, game development is my major, lmfao

I am looking forward to it, hoping it will bring some performance boost for playing and recording, can't make my youtube videos if I can't record and play at the same time :P

If the patch doesn't fix the lag coming from servers ever since the first patch, then I'ma probably have to quit.

Its not the servers, its you. Both of my servers run like a champ for everyone that plays on them.

Yer man ive tried everything, im running windows 7 64bit, and ive heard that directx11 doesnt work on it? And everytime i go to startup brink steam tries to install directx11, but it doesnt work. Brink works perfectly fine other then that, runs flawlessly on my ATI haha.
So im thinking it could be a problem with directx11?

Umm game runs off OPENGL for the rendering system, only uses DirectX for audio and input support.

it's not rying to update Direct X 11, it's trying to install the parts of 9.0c you are missing to run sound
