Fun with "Soldier Shield"

Post » Fri Dec 02, 2011 12:55 pm

I have three ideas that would be hillarious to see in brink using the soldier "shield" abillity. All three of these ideas require at least 4 soldiers in your team. Also I'm only using a hostage rescue scenario to explain my idea although I'm sure there will be other scenarios these uses will be good for.

The first I call the "Cluster"
Basically all the soldiers use the shield abillity on the same hostage forming a huge cluster around the hostage and moving about the map as a huge blob.

The second I call the "Flying V"
Exactally like the Mighty Ducks movie. 1 soldier on each shoulder of the hostage and another soldier on the shoulders of the first soldiers forming a V shape.

The third I call the "Rescue Snake"
One soldier attaches to the hostage and another soldier attaches to that soldier and so forth forming a conga line.

I doubt you will be able to have multiple shields to one person and I also doubt you can shield a person who is shielding someone else but still would be hillarious to see the enemy team make off with in hostage in a huge conga line.

Next you'll tell me Brink is no longer on a man-made island. It will be on a peninsula (jk)

That wasn't really a change but only announced, though?

Light used to be unlocked at the same time as heavy.

I guess the only way to be a shield now is to have two heavy taking the front and two medics backing them up.... Hmmm

Heavy LMG+AR... Sounds like a plausible thing, no?

*Does his best Wedgwood voice*
Brink takes place on Michigan. It's an IMMENSE, deer-infested, snowy peninsula, built on a lake as part of a contemporary fur-trading vision. Now existing around 2045, it has lost contact with the rest of the world... and has simply been annexed by Canada.
