This single player mod was released a few days ago. I can't say much more without spoiling it. It's a narrative driven first person game. All I can say is that it's really, really good and if you have HL2 installed you should give this a go. Don't look up any info about it. You could watch the trailer, it's alright. But I didn't even watch that. Just download and play. It's worth it, trust me.

For the people who've played it I'd love to discuss it here with you guys, all in spoiler tags of course.

So is it a fan made mod based on HL2 or completely separate?

It requires HL2 to be installed for it to work because it uses the same resources, but other than that it has no real connection to the HL2 world. (Or does it? :hehe: )

Just a standalone short story about a guy named Stanley.

Just finished it now. The narration was very well done, the whole concept of the mod reminds me of that movie called "Stranger Than Fiction".

Looks somewhat enthralling. I'll download when I can since it's a mod and it's free I've got nothing to lose, you say it's short right?

It was extremely boring and awful. Just horrible. Fortunately, it was shorter than its AAA versions.
Spoiler
Off course it can have a good use for irony -which is its primary goal and it gets a 10/10 from me for that. :chaos:

Voice acting was pretty good though.

We need HL2 or just any source engine game?

Because I don't have HL2 but I was able to use a bunch of mods (Zombie Panic Source and the like)

You don't need HL2 - version 1.3 fixes that "issue."

I loved the game - was a little sad how short it was, though. But each ending was priceless.
