So, lastnight for some ODD reason I was watching MTV (nothing else was on, go fig.). They played the new video from Lil Wayne entitled "John". For some weird reason they played it twice? It came on again after the 1st time after 2 more videos, like wtf? lol.

But anyway knowing all mainstream rap there songs get BUTCHERED to the end of the earth because all they mostly do is cuss. It was apparent with Lil Wayne's video... but there were some keywords that struck me like: "Why the HELL did you censor THAT?!"

Words such as:

Chopper
Dead

Like really? I understand Chopper is slang for AK-47... but that is just LAME! LMAO! The line goes as follows: "I'm not a star, somebody lied I got a [bleep]er in the car..." in the Video. So I thought they were maybe saying "hoker"? I can understand THAT being censored but Chopper, orly? And how is DEAD now a bad word? I <3 the Mainstream and it's [censored] censorship!

Can't say I've ever encountered such ridiculousness (it's a word, if it wasn't before, now it is). :mellow:

VEVO does that a lot too. In the Teenage Dirtbag video by Wheatus they censor the word "gun", but didn't censor the word "ass". :facepalm:

Didn't know people still watched MTV or that they still played music videos.... You can probably blame wal mart or some value groups.

I noticed in the video for "Bleed It Out" by Linkin Park, they censored "noose"......?

We have deodorant commercials on at five in the afternoon with naked girlie boobs bouncing off the screen.

Mtv has never been [censored] here, because the Dutch don't really like being [censored].

Same thing with the "Fast Lane" song by Bad Meets Evil ft. Eminem...

And yes they still show Music Videos but from like 3-6 AM. IMHO stupidest time to be playing music but alright... lol.

Yep. They censored chopper, dead, legs, and neck in that song.

Also, in the video for "I'm On One" they censored sip, smoke, drink, purple, pink, burning, bury, bend, and chopper.

Welcome to American TV Here in Sweden we never have beeps. people can say things like [beeping] [beeper] [beep] [beeper]. and it will be on the tv, its really fun watching some shows, but they could also be mean (sometimes racist)
