can you drive the radrod around the wasteland or is it just for races?.i just got to the 1st town where you can race and i can choose between ratrod and buggy. one of the vendors has upgrades for your vehicles. if i buy a upgrade will it always be on my vehicle or just for the races? thanks

1. Yes, you can drive the rat-rod in the wasteland.
2. The upgrades are to the vehicle you installed them on and are useable in races and in the wasteland.

If you go to the guy that sells you upgrades for race certificates i'm pretty sure it's for the buggy and not just for the races. I bought rockets and mini gun and things and i was able to use in wasteland not just races.
