Quick question to the X360 Community!

Alright, I had a Credit Card asigned to my account a LOOONG time ago. And I ended up removing it from the account because I didn't use it anymore, I mostly bought MS Point cards.

So, now I'm trying to add it in again and it keeps saying:

"Can't authorize the selected payment option. Please select a different payment option or add a new one."

How can I get this CC to work on my account again? (Hopefully without calling XBOX Support...)

ANYONE please help!

Where did you try adding it, on the 360 over Xbox Live or on their website?

From my experience of adding and removing credit card info with XBL, I would suggest not doing it. I added a card once and it wouldn't let me remove it until I sat on the phone for about 15 minutes. I would suggest just buying the prepaid cards.

Both. And the MS website as well. It won't let me add it anywhere...

Can you even contact support at 2AM?

After my debacle with MS and their cruddy CC payment system, it's the only way I roll these days.

You can only remove cards from the website and even then you're still messed around. A few weeks ago I wanted to remove my out of date card and then add my new one but on the site it stated that it couldn't remove the card as it was linked to my subscription (something like that). So I switched off the auto renewal on my account, thinking it would allow me to remove it but - no. In the end I could only remove it once I had added the new card. XBL just love to mess people around, ever try moving your licenses to a new console :banghead:

I add and remove my card all the time and no problems at all! Try it on there website I have never had this problem. The way you cancel your card does not matter at all. I usually do it through Microsoft takes me about 5 min. I recommend calling Microsoft and ask them this they will do a run through with your account and make sure it’s clean. (Whatever that means)

I have no problems and I cancel all the time it might be something with you information. DO it on there website next. Just call you card user (Visa Master Card Ext) They do it best when canceling I promise you.

And NO you cant call at 2am haha. Why would you call it that time eh? Wait until the moring ha.

Pre-paid cards. Done, you don't have to worry about CC details through Micro$oft then.

Get a load for birthday/ Christmas from various relatives; should set u up nicely for DLC and Arcade titles, assuming you don't waste money on stupid avatar items ;)
