Can't access Bethblog

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:25 am

I've been checking the Bethesda Blog daily for the last year or so with no problems. Today it asked me to enter my birthdate again (happens occasionally). However, after entering it, I get a blank page with this message:

"We're sorry but you can not access this site. Please review our http://www.zenimax.com/legal_privacy.htm."

I skimmed through it, but I can't figure out what's causing the problem. This has never happened to me before. Could anyone please explain what's going on?

Edit: It's weird that my iPod Touch using the same wifi network is able to view the mobile version of the blog.

Edit 2: Problem solved, thanks to Rohugh and everyone else for the help.

Platform? (ie browser brand and version, OS)

Possibly you're blocking cookies and/or Javascript. There's an age veriifcation on it.

Chrome on Win 7 64-bit (my laptop), though mostly I've been accessing it on my desktop comp (Chrome Win 7 32-bit).

I should get through the age verification fine since I'm 18. Cookies and/or Javascript shouldn't be a problem either, since I could read the blog just fine yesterday.

Looking at the message you get it may be that the wrong DOB has been entered. Clear all your cookies and try again with the correct date of birth.

This too. Once I entered the wrong DOB on another website, I think it was related to the band Disturbed, and after that they wouldn't let me back in no matter how many cookies I cleared ;(.

Yep, it's the message you get when you enter a wrong DOB. Clearing your browser cookies and cache works. :)

Thank you for the help, that did the trick. I guess I must have let a finger slip when entering it last time. :)
