- Compaq Q2159 21.5" 1920x1080 monitor, VGA only. http://www.retrevo.com/search?q=HP+Q2159&rt=sp&modelid=23459294
- Xbox 360 Slim, standard Xbox cables.
The plan is to connect both the PC and 360 to the same monitor using a http://www.amazon.co.uk/XBOX-360-SWITCH-RGBHV-Audio/dp/B001A0M35O. I figure that it's easy to get a simple VGA switcher for the setup with the http://multitronic.fi/showprod.php?prod_id=B4S-00010&b=1. The cost is 47.31 € + 6.90 € (extra VGA cable since the one that comes with the switcher is said to produce ghosting) = 54.21 € + shipping. However, since the VGA cable for the 360 is typically more expensive than say, an HDMI cable (4.90 €), I wonder if there are any ways to save money on this setup? Or is the digital-anolog process simply too expensive to bother?
Country's Finland, by the way.
Also, what's the difference (other than price) between the Microsoft Xbox 360 VGA cable above and http://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/product/31812/xdjt/Snakebyte-Premium-VGA-kaapeli-Xbox-360-lle?
Thanks, in advance.
