I wouldnt compare...l

I feel that this game shouldnt be compared to anything else.... I personally think this will set the bar of other fps/rpg games...its been happening for years...

With fallout boarderlands....Metro....i wouldnt even put this nxt to battlefield or any of the cods beacuse their just your basic runaround and kill...apart from bf3 with its use of vehicles which they done like 8 9 years ago with the bf series on the pc...

After watching the latest demo of rage i was impressed with some of the a.i when something was thrown or they where shot at...they would try to get out the way and if they found an advantage they would rush you.....

This is just my opinion... and now thinking closer to release date I.d and bethesda have kept quite tight lipped about what you can do and the demos to me have opened up so much more so i wonder what else we can expect from this well worked peice of software

Regardless of the wasteland setting, Rage is its own game. I hate the fact that [censored] start shouting out Borderlands ripoff! Which is hilarious because Fallout did it before, and they got the inspiration from movies like Mad Max. Everything is inspired by something before it, and ID freaking invented the damn genre! If they don't want to play it because it's a "ripoff" it's their loss for being ignorant.

Now i think that ID didnt put simple DM into this game and instead made new kinds of multiplayers to not allow the childrem grown up on cod and such compare their new game/franchise with those copycats if u know what i mean. They made it released with BF and GOW to show ppl thats its not a simple [censored]in remake of pumping shots into monsters (even if they've made that kind 1st) but a new fabulous type of game! Which is complex, mind-blowing and still looks amazing just as all their games in the past. Also the thing that we dont get a character named like "John DUKE" or whatever is pure win since I WANT TO BE THAT GUY killin monsters not that i want to play a named character that gets the slaughter going. So this must be the best virtual experience ever made in my opinion, and if the ppl at ID say so i belive em for sure!

Borderlands is NOTHING LIKE FALLOUT. Fallout is a wasteland setting after a nuclear war. Borderlands is a wasteland setting on a junkyard planet somewhere in the galaxy. It annoys the [censored] out of me when people compare the games. Their core concepts are not even related. Get that into your heads!

If you want to simplify COD and BF as "Run around and kill" then how is that different from RAGE? You run around and kill as well do you not? RAGE just has a story to it, where as COD and BF are meant to be multiplayer. They have different target groups, and as such, can not be compared simply on the merit that they are all FPS games.

But the keyword for the association is wasteland, which you yourself used. A wasteland setting, and quests. You can't say they aren't similar at their core. even though they're very different games. If Borderlands fans don't see that there is some Fallout inspiration behind it then they're delusional.

Made my day XD

Anyway... My best friend and I have been playing borderlands cause we something to do while waiting for RAGE. Comparing Borderlands is like comparing finger painting to Ernst's " Europe after rain II" or any of Michelangelo's work.
Sure they're both art and may have a similar theme or background, but they definitely aren't similar and shouldn't be compared.
I use this example only because I still [censored] bricks when I see the graphics.
