First time motion sickness from a game?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:52 pm

I'm curious if any other PC users are having issues with getting a dizzy sensation after a few minutes of play. This is the first game I've ever had this dizzy feeling with, I feel nearly drunk or as if I just got off a really brain shaking amusemant park ride ?? If anybody else has this issue or knows of a console command to help I would greatly appreciate it. (Could it be the blurry texture loading messing with my eyes?)

Maybe the game is just too incredibly mind squishingly awesome. Also try looking straight ahead when you drive. :P

well im doing nothing different than when I usually play FPS games or any game for that matter. I've been doing FPSs since Unreal 1 and never had this problem with my eyes. Makes me feel like my mom cause she used to complain when I played Doom how it made her dizzy and I couldn't understand how. So ya even the on foot areas cause this problem not just the driving. /cry

I've heard of this from a few people and experienced it myself from alot of ID games. I swear its the engine.

Maybe it's the FOV, try changing it to 90 or something, a lot of people have dizzyness from weird FOV, I believe it's set to 80 by default.

I'm on the Xbox and the walking screwed with my eyes a bit, hasn't happened since Doom, I loved that game but I would get horrible headaches if I played for an hour or more.

Last time I encounter motion sickness was when I play Doom. I going to buy this game today for Xbox. I hope I don't get motion sickness.
