Not seeing 3D effect that well!

Hi guys, I own a sony 3D TV 40" I can't recall off the top of my head which one but its less then a year old, I got it last Christmas, it had just come out. Iv started watching 3D films, such as Bolt 3D, Alice in wonderland and others, and I can only barely see the 3D effect, it isn't very prominent. I noticed that there is a 3D depth adjustment which is currently set to 0 but I can set it to +1 + 2 or - 1 and - 2 I believe.

When I change these settings, I can REALLY see the 3D effect, but the problem is and I am not sure if this is just my imaginiation, it makes my eyes feel funny when I adjust it on the fly like that, and when I stick it back to 0 my eyes are fine but the 3D effect is gone back to being lackluster. I have done a bit of researched and I believe I read that its best to keep depth adjustment on 0, but I am not sure about mine as as I said I can see the 3D effect in a big way when its adjusted to -1 for e.g but at the cost of my eyes lol - again not sure if its my mind or if it really is making my eyes feel funny.

I dunno what to do guys, any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm not sure, but it may just be the #d itself that's making your eyes hurt, not anything to do with adjusting the settings. I know that 3D has always given me a headache if I watch it for more then a few minutes.

My tv was built in 1989, weighs more than the love child Rosie O'Donnell and Shamu had together, and puts out more radiation than Fukushima..

so.. no 3D.

At any rate, I've not had any experience with 3D screens outside of demo units at Best Buy and the like.

Can you describe how it makes your eyes feel?

..I also utterly hate wearing glasses over my glasses.

It's like wearing a wax coat over your wetsuit, while wrapped in saran wrap, to stay dry.
