Republican Dissociative Disorder

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:38 pm

I really have to say that I dislike most Republican Pundits. I also really dislike most Republican Candidates. I think the opinions being touted by major contenders today are extreme, insincere, and in most cases flat out unrealistic. Most republican candidates right now are claiming that they have policy ideas that there's no way they could ever accomplish in America, short of being elected King and Dictator for Life.

However, Republicans are not unreasonable people. What the heck is going on? Many of my friends are Republicans. Many of my family are Republicans. Most Republican party members that I personally know are reasonable, kind, realistic people. Why the heck is the brain and skull of the GOP so distant and disconnected from its body?

Any thoughts on this? I mean, have you guys been watching some of these speeches and claims? Is Bachman nuts? What about Rick Perry, is the guy serious on some of this stuff? I don't even want to talk about Herman Cain, he's just flat out insincere. Tune in to any one episode of the Daily Show and you'll see what I mean.

I get the feeling that some of these candidates have no idea what to do about problems in the USA, and are just grasping for support in any corner that they think might be popular at that given moment. It's really disconcerting.

Religion and Politics
Topics or posts that deal with religious or political matters, beliefs, people, or events are not allowed on the forums. This includes issues that are religiously or politically charged such as Biological Evolution, even though they are not inherently religious. Similarly, discussions of "Global warming", "man-made climate change" are also politically charged topics and are not up for debate on this forum - although the issues and ideas surrounding global climate change are not inherently political, people are unable to discuss it without quickly bringing in personal political opinion.

Discussion of in-game religion and politics as it relates to Bethesda Softworks games and game lore are fine.
