Bring Health Pick-Ups Back!

Just a small suggestion I've been thinking about.. I think having non-regenerating health/armor percent meters along with health/armor pick ups simply makes a game more fun. The way Rage is, you are forced to hide around a corner and wait until you are normal again after just being shot a few times. I find myself doing that a lot. Or like most of the way through Rage, you only get hit like every now and then, which is no big deal because you know you will just heal right up.

Health/armor meters makes it so every hit you take from enemies means something to you. A lot of times in Rage it doesn't bother me that I get hit a lot, because I know it will just heal up quick. If you want the game to feel more realistic and rewarding, then bring back the health/armor percent meters, along with health/armor pick-ups! Having non-regenerating health/armor meters also makes a game overall more challenging and exciting.

It would basically be a hardcoe mode but once you hit the first major town you can easily attain as much money as you want so purchasing bandages alone invalidate the health pickup system entirely. Good idea but it would take a lot of changes to make it work properly.

Hey all, I just picked up the game and the thing that has me confused is: yes it's weird not having a health and armor meter...but how do I know when to use the bandages?
Am I missing something?

id made Rage to be their quirky, fun game.

It's not supposed to be hardcoe or a sim-like.

Every game is ultimately supposed to be fun.

I would have preferred health packs, since it makes taking damage more serious of a gameplay element. Right now, there is really no incentive to not take damage - that mutant can hit you a few times, your health will regenerate. Makes the whole game easier, and kind of makes nightmare mode a joke.
