Surprising Games

I guess a surprising game I liked would be the Phoenix Wright series. A game where you play as a lawyer suddenly became my favorite series on the DS.

That film needs to be mirrored, Wright's on the wrong side of the courtroom. <_<

Two Worlds II.

Two Worlds 2

The first was terrible. Is this a good game and what impressed you ?

Chronicles of Riddike: Escape From Butcher Bay.

Oh look, another crappy movie tie-in game... Not!

I still havent played it, I hear praise. But just cant get over the whole movie thing. I have never played/seen a good movie game.

Alan wake. One section in particular, I turned on the ingame radio and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tA2d4DWdGw started to play. I didnt care much, but then I was ambushed, and dodged alot of takens attacks, so it was slow mo cinematic stuff while the music played. I kept struggling then was surrounded and pullled out a flare, then it all went slow mo and with the music playing. It just seemed to fit together, and for a few seconds I was just lost and amazed looking at it. It was just something I cant do justice with words. I wish I had a device to record it. Tried several times and never got that result again. No game has ever done that.

Fable I was looking at games in blockbuster and it caught my eye. Cover looked interesting. Got home, it drew me in instantly. All these years later Fable (tlc) is still my favorite game. Its the reason im so bitter about lionhead and the reason I bought fable 3, avoided hype hoping they learned. It had a charm I havent seen anywhere else, I dont know what it was, but it was there.

As for the bad I liked SC DA so bought conviction "how bad can it be"... Dear god do I regret that purchase, I wouldnt even get it for free.
Also people said borderlands was awesome and addicting. Total opposite. I had to force myself to keep playing hoping it got better. Which it didnt.

Definitely Oblivion for me. I had made an offhand remark to a guy at work that I'd just bought a new PC and he said he had this amazing game he couldn't run on his own machine. Asked me if I wanted it for £20 (it was brand new) and the rest is history ;) I was thinking about it the other day and I'm not sure I'd still be gaming if it weren't for Beth games. I was actually losing interest in most games at that stage and could have very easily 'grown out of it'. Luckily though it came along right at the right time and I've been Beth's [censored] ever since. :)
