How much of the game was cut to fit on 3 xbox DVDs?

I know 4 DVDs on the xbox would I've been out of the question and eat into their profits but do you think the game cut much of it's planned content to fit in 3 DVDs. To me the game is worth it at 60 bucks either way but I can't stop to think how Great this game could have been if it just had a good ending and incorporated more human emotion--whether it's through a love interest or more touching human interaction. I know that's not typical Id but you can have both...I mean they went far enough might have well gone all the way. hardcoe id fans don't mind more story as long as you give us great fps gameplay.

I hope DLC fills in the story and franchise out better because it would be a shame if this game does not get a proper sequel.

I don't think they cut that much, if any, from the game it fit it onto 3 discs. 3 discs is a lot already.

3 disc is a lot but most of it was used up by the textures right? Plus they had to compress more of it than they wanted to as well.

At any rate I dunno how people can not like the shooting in this game, if you are a FPS fan how could you not like the gunplay here--it has everything! From duck and cover, sniping, to all out balls to wall circle strafing blowing up faces! The game is incredible, I don't even see how some reviewers could have scored it so low...the Graphics, animation and Gameplay alone are the best i've played in any FPS ever! and that includes the first time I played Doom and Quake.

They had to redesign the wasteland world for the DVD. They ended up splitting the game in two for the DVD. Whether anything was actually cut is uncertain - read here: http://www.pvcmuseum.com/games/vs/ids-rage-castrated-to-fit-on-xbox-360.htm Originally, they wanted to keep it two DVDs. I also think the texture compression is a big issue caused by storage constraints of the DVD.

I really love the FPS type of game play, and mounts in RAGE, plus, fallout NW wastes and sandbox? Would make it just perfect.
