Clarify my question almighty forum!

So I know that OB undertook some post release updates to fix bugs and glitches and I'm guessing Skyrim will have these as well.

The problem is that my Xbox is not connected to Xbox Live(or the internet) and probably never will be, so how do I get these updates/ bug fix's in the future?

I'm pretty sure you need to have the internet if you want the patches.

You're probably SOL unless you have an internet connection.

Find a friend with WiFi in his house. Take your system over there, update the game, go back home and play. I don't believe that a Live account is required to get patches.

You'll need your Xbox to have internet access. It's free to set-up a Live account, so you might as well do it.

Or, wait until the GOTY edition comes out in a year.

He will need to set up a Silver Account (which is free) to get the updates.

Take your xbox to a friends house and connect, get patches and then go home and play. There are numerous people in my area that have no internet and only a generator to run their consoles. Many come to my house to get updates and then go home and play until the next one is available.

You could go extreme- get a plug adaptor for your car and park at Starbucks/Mcdonald's and piggy back on their wifi from INSIDE THE CAR. That would be boss.

Yeah, here at my house, I don't have a decent enough internet required for XBL. However, that first weekend it comes out, I am taking my box to my friends' house (who do have a decent enough internet for XBL) and will be playing it for a while.

She lives in the wilds of Alaska. You should see some of the stories she has from when delivery people try to find her house.....

However, borrowing a friends Internet Connection is the way to go. Note, if he does not have the MS Wireless Dongle then he will need to get that (not cheap) or a wireless bridge (bother to set up) if he goes the wireless route. The best way for this ad hoc connection is to use an Ethernet cable to the friends router or cable modem for the updating.

As an aside, do the newer versions of the 360 come with Wireless built in?

Yes, Alaska is covered with impenetrable tropical rain forest.

Yes, the latest model range (the 'slim') has it built in.

Well sort of yes. Click the link in my sig to view my driveway. :P Most around here don't have running water either.

Yes they do which is awesome. But still you have to have some wifi to connect to. :)

But it does make it much nicer when folks come to get updates at my house. I can still be on my pc now without having to step aside to hook up. We just got a new Xbox and getting online was as easy as pie.
