Lord of the Rings: War in the North

Just saw it on Steam - looks interesting: a co-op action RPG.

Not sure how playable co-op is unless partners are located close, I have seen up to 250mS of lag just across the USA (it's all that &**(=%@#% Netflix hogging the bandwidth)

Person I know is playing it now (on pc) and he's not thrilled with it/is not finding it enjoyable yet, but he's still semi-early in the game.

Way before Netflix & all this streaming video stuff trying to connect to East servers from the West had latency of that sort. There are tons of other factors that cause distant-latency, over just others "hogging" bandwidth.
Not saying bandwidth/overselling/increasing demand isn't a potential issue, just that it's not always the cause of distant gaming server latency.

Checked out the Steam forums for it earlier. Seems there are a fair few people who are disappointed with it and Game Informer gave it a 5.5 so I think I'm going to wait for a price drop.

At the moment he's saying if you're fan of the combat in the other LotR games you'll probably like hacking & slashing your way through this one.
He's also having major lag/delay issues with the conversation trees for some reason, which has him raging at the moment.

I'm hitting lag in conversations constantly. I'll push a button to say a comment...wait for it...wait for it...and then finally it starts. It's like they built in some sort of long lag so that you wait interminably to select your statements in conversation.
