I'm thinking of writing a story taking place in Nim and I need to use some of the lore from TES. Is it ok to use that in my story? I don't want to make Bethesda think that I'm ripping them off.

If your interested in what the story is about its basically about a vampire who is tired of being seen as a monster and decides to show their power by taking over Cyrodiil. I havn't worked out all the details yet..

Well if I think the outcome of the story is really good i might send it to a publisher (of course I know that it probably wouldn't get published and if it did I would give Beth credit for the lore)

I'm not sure if it would be legal to use it for PROFIT, otherwise it's simply fanfiction and is readily welcomed.

As long as it's just fanfiction I doubt they'd care. Just don't make a game involving anything invented by Bethesda's lore team, like rolled parchment. :wink_smile:

You can't publish it unless you publish it free of charge. You can do whatever you like so long as you don't profit from the work.

Brush up on copyright rules of your country (and the US I suppose since Beth is based there)
