Post apocalyptic comics/graphic novels

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:32 am

I'm reading The Walking Dead comics right now, pretty cool so far.

I got to thinking though that I'd really like to read a top notch post apocalyptic comic series that is similar to Fallout.

So yeah, I don't know where to begin with that.

Any suggestions?

Wasn't sure if I should put this is general or Fallout discussion, but I think this is the right place for it.

Pretty cool, thanks for sharing. :goodjob:

Looking for something a bit more serious though, if you know of anything.

Romantically Apocalyptic is awesome...and Zombie Hunters as well. Both are webcomics. Look em up.

Interestingly, there's a page for that on Wikipedia. :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Post-apocalyptic_comics

(Not sure how good it is.... I haven't read all that many of those comics. A bit of Judge Dredd & DMZ, neither of which are terribly Fallout-like. Although Judge Dredd has the over-the-top black humor thing going. I also don't think the anime/manga page there is very well developed.

Only other "post-apocalypse" things I've read are Transmetropolitan (which is more political/social satire, less blasted wasteland) and Battle Angel Alita (it's got wasteland, but it's also got plenty of crazy Japanese manga combat-cyborg action, strange philosophy, and gratuitous German )

Oh man, I wish the author updated that comic weekly. It's gold. It seems he doesn't like it much though.
