props to level design

I've also been running in some technical issues to get the game running and now i only experience crashes while loading inbetween levels but i must say, props to the level design. Once you get the game running, it proves its really awesome.
The engine can do things i've never seen in other shooters.
I absolutely loved the hospital level and prison level. Totally awesome!!!!
For that alone you want to play rage!!!!!

The bank vault level was another incredible level and there's more to come. The enemies there were great! I loved the ones with the gas cannisters on them. They go up into the air and explode with a big bang, that really made me laugh out loud i loved it.

What i'm saying here is that it's absolutely a pitty that the game has some buggy issues because it really deserves credit for other aspects like level design, character motion, level of detail and randomness everywhere.

I have to agree. I think the game is horribly under rated. I'm so surprised that the majority of reviews are not more glowing. I think it's maybe because reviewers are on a tight schedule and need to rush through the game. Rushing through Rage is a terrible waste. The story is there but only if we take the time to see it. Much like in Biowares more recent games it's important to chat to everyone if we don't want to miss a huge chunk of the story and atmosphere that is there.

As for the games bugs, that's such a shame. On my system I am bug free. I'm only running it on a 9800GTX+ but with a good quad core processor. I'm able to run it at 720p with 8x AA, 4x AF, High quality textures (yes even with 512Mb card), 60fps solid and it's an absolute joy. The game itself is a feat of engineering, it's just a 'cluster-f%^k' as Carmack puts it that the drivers that he was promised would be released in time weren't. There is nothing buggy about the game itself, just the drivers that it was designed for have yet to be finalised. Luckily the Nvidia beta drivers work perfectly on my older hardware but so many others are having problems with much better systems. It will be fixed though and everyone can expect amazing performance if they are patient for the drivers to be released. If it works perfectly on my old GFX card there is no doubt it will be fine soon enough for everyone else.

excellent post; totally agree. Something I've never seen before in level details. Game overall is a must own and very underrated only because everyone is stuck on COD/GOW..... wish this game had more publicity as well for a stronger online game options.

Really thought the Blue Subway line and Power plant levels were amazing details/ lighting and more attention to details. Wow!

The lighting bothered me a bit at first but as I played more it got better. Dark areas were a weird greenish color.
