Modern Warfare 2 - Worst $30 Ever Spent

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:06 pm

I just bought Modern Warfare 2 for the PC today. Installing it and all, I try to play multi-player. Guess what, it didn't work. It's already bad enough there's no server list, but I couldn't find any servers. No servers were being found for some reason. I spent hours trying to fix this. The closest to a solution I've found is to make a private game and wait till the time limit ends. After that, I was able to join servers. But the servers I find take at least 3 minutes to find... plus the 5 minutes in my private game. I have to do this every time I close/open the game. Now, even if I were able to join games, it would still svck, since I can't stand playing a game like this without a server list or a favorites list. I'm not going to be playing multi-player. I really should've listened to the Amazon reviews.

Now, campaign is a different story. I think the campaign is great, but that's not what I bought the game for. :sadvaultboy:

But even so, maybe the title is a bit of an exaggeration since I have played/bought worst games (and the campaign is really good).

I would get Modern Warfare 3 or Black Ops, but my computer svcks.

So, I would advice people to avoid Modern Warfare 2 if you're looking for multi-player and just get Modern Warfare 3 if your computer can handle it. However, if you're looking for a good campaign (and not any multi-player), it's a good deal for $30.

Also, just wondering, has anyone else had similar experiences or problems with this game (probably not, because this is the gamesas forums and no one here ever replies to my Call of Duty topics).

TL:DR, MW2 online svcks. I'm getting Skyrim....

TL;DR: Good choice :)

Honestly I have no idea why your multiplayer doesn't work, but I can tell you that buying Skyrim is a very good choice

You are thinking about not getting Skyrim because the UI isn't optimized for PC usage? That can easily be fixed with mods. Don't throw away Skyrim before trying it just because the menu is a bit 'chunky'! :D
