When you fill it up, you get a party thrown for you. It "warns" you how close you are to your party, so you always know (isn't that considerate?)

It's an indicator of what sort of diseases you've picked up from the local denizens: yellow warns that you have scrofula, red warns that you have leprosy, heliotrope warns that you have hair cancer etc.

"Warning", is that what they're calling it? That bar just shows the amount of control they have over you.

But yes, it shows how close you are to being banned. However there are offenses of which you'll get banned immediatly, like admitting pirating.

Just keep your head down, don't draw attention to yourself, and you'll do fine. Just like in real life
