Inheritance Cycle and Lord of the Rings Similarities

Can you all give some similarities between the series such as the Narzog and Razac and Eragon and Aragorn? I need strong similarities for a school project!

You'd have better luck finding the similarities between Eragon and Star Wars.

He is asking people for help, how is that not doing his homework? He's not asking us to do it for him.

Asking us to tell him is asking us to do it for him. "Doing his homework" would be reading the books (or the Cliff's Note of them) or doing some actual searching online. Asking for "some similarities between the series such as the Narzog and Razac and Eragon and Aragorn" is the same as asking "What's the answer to (complex mathematical equation)"? He's asking us for answers to his assignment, without doing any of the work himself. That pretty much defeats the whole purpose of the assignment, so we wouldn't be doing him a favor by answering.

Quick tip, Nazgul, not Narzog.

Actually the first story really is the same story as star wars, just in fantasy land. Granted i didn't realize this when i read the first book. Young protagonist gets his uncle slain, finds out he belongs to a ancient order of do-gooders, finds a mentor in the local old crazy person, fights the empire (who really hasn't been shown doing too much evil really). Bad thing is i actually really liked the first book in high school, i would probably have read the last one that just came out if it was more reasonably priced, 40 bucks is pretty steep

If he had read the books (or even read the Inheritance Cycle and seen the LOTR movies) it wouldn't be particularly difficult to find similarities; they're pretty blatant. Aside from Eragon and Aragorn having similar sounding names, they really aren't similar character types at all.
