Wow, that's a pretty cool way to lay out a website. :D

Classic.

With greying hair and failing health, both progressing exponentially, I still enjoy playing Daggerfall.

Wow I've never seen that! :D

Under the option to order the Arena Special Edition it says it includes 'A "World of Tamriel" mousepad'. I'm almost tempted to try and order it just to see if they honour that. ;)

Sadly, these forums aren't on Wayback Machine because of Robots.txt :(

Holy shiznit Batman!

And it doesn't have a photo of the mousemat which is ultimately what my £250 would be going towards. ;) The link to the mousemat is dead...

Ouch! Though I'm impressed by your capacity for understatement... :o

Didn't Bethseda put up TES 1 and 2 as a free MSDOS download one time on their The Elder Scrolls webpage :obliviongate: ?

Yep. Which highlights the fact it seems the bidders are mainly bidding for the mousemat it would seem...

Yeah, but that's the deluxe edition he's selling. You'd be paying for all the extras and stuff it comes with.

I'm not sure if $400.00 to $500.00 is worth it---maybe as a collector's item but that's WAY to pricy.

I love TES... but that cost is just far too much for me.

Agreed---I like collecting stuff but there's a limit. I don't mind spending $100.00 or $200.00 for a specific item but anything over that is out of the question.

I'd just like to say that if anyone does remember this, they are clearly old.

It would be even better if you navigated the site like an old IF game, rather than clicking hyperlinks.

Curiously enough, the forum does permit entry to people who are no longer in their teens! Besides which, age is largely a state of mind.

Ah, the beauty of Web 1.0. I miss it... Sorta. But every website was hideous in those days, too. I guess I just miss when not every website tried to clone Facebook.

As for the mouse pad, TECHNICALLY it'd be possible to get another like it, even if not an original... But of course, it'd probably wind up with a sort of lose-lose proposition: the map in question is copyrighted to gamesas, so chances are they wouldn't approve of people going to places and custom-ordering mousepads with the image on it. On the flip side, demand's so low that gamesas wouldn't bother to do anything to make it available THEMSELVES... It's kinda annoying, but that sort of thing happens all the time.
