Stupid (and probably bannable question)

Okay, I'm a modder, and I don't do people very well...
So I have to ask, what is the best way to get views or replies? I have a wall of text going up in the Skyrim Mods forum, describing a mod I'm planning on creating once the set is released to my sticky fingers =P

I try to have a sense of humor, but its mostly my own, yes to those of you currently wondering, I do laugh at my own jokes.

But part of the experience to me is receiving feedback from the community, and not doing people very well, as I said, means that despite the fact that I've written a very detailed post, I don't quite understand how to make people entertained enough well reading it to even tell me its a bad idea, I have seven replies out of over so...In that light, because I'm seeking community feedback, I need to know, what am I doing wrong?

I won't even ask you to be gentle, just give it to me.

Most people aren't going to sit and read a wall of text

My best advice is just write what you're going to write and if you only get a reply or two it's not a big deal. If you're just describing a mod you don't need to put a bunch of bells and whistles on your post trying to be the funny or whatever. If I was looking for a particular mod and what I got was a wall of text with a bunch of jokes thrown in I probably would lose focus and not know what the mod was and just skip over it.

Also a tip,

If you think a post will get you into trouble you might want to PM a moderator prior to posting ;)

I really have to say, I've never bought into asking if something was okay prior to posting it. To me part of the adventure is NOT knowing what the result of my actions (sometimes, inflammatory, though only occasionally intentionally so.) is going to be.

My wall of text is not full of jokes, and is (in my opinion broken up nicely, though I could use some tips on that...) And is a detailed look at this mod idea.

I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Make it short, sweet and informative. Play on the angles a person wants to see. Whenever I download mods, I make sure there are PLENTY of pictures! So, let's say you make a mod and your centerpiece of it all is an AMAZING new weapon! I don't want a GLIMPSE of it, I want to see it in action in the images! Same thing for Fallout games. There are a lot of great mods that use walls of text and little pictures. Guess where they go? In my exit history. A mod with pics show it's a legitimate thing and could suit their aesthetic. A picture does say a thousand words, so use those!!

You can still link to pictures, you just can't use the tags to make them show up in your post.

Just something from a natural resource interpretation/mass commo class I had a few years back regarding signage that could help.

Most people have the attention span of dogs ;)

Well, get your main point out in 5 seconds worth of reading. Fill out your main point and finish the text in the next 25 seconds of reading.

Good luck.

I think those who don't just aren't funny enough.

It helps to break up your wall of text and section it off. If you find yourself having a bunch of sections, it wouldn't hurt to throw a table of contents in, so people can read what sounds interesting first and maybe read the rest afterward.

I don't know how this question was bannable

You could create 2 descriptions of your mod: A simple short version and the long detailed one.
Hide the detailed on in a spoiler tag though so it doesn't put the reader off and you suffer from tl;dr ;)
Someone mentioned a link in your sig, do this also if its a mod, I don't often visit those sections but I like seeing whats being created and may lead to some tips/criticism, this could apply to others in the comunity also :)
