Just wanted to get my opinion across. I LOVE Skyrim's options but I also LOVE lord of the ring's locations. Maybe there could be a combination. Split Middle earth into 2 maps and have 2 Lord Of The Rings RPG games. These 3rd Person Rpg's are bugging me and also Skyrim's game engine would make the Lord Of the Rings game look and play beautifully. It would be a game that would probably go down in history more than COD.

What Are Your Opinions?

They have their own unique fantasy franchise to develop without being constrained by an IP that they had nothing to do with. Absolutely no point, particularly if it's going to be Skyrim-like gameplay.

That's why Bethesda offers the Construction Kit, or the Creation Kit as it will be known now. Someone will attempt to recreate middle earth using the game engine, no doubt about it.

I mean for consoles. the only game on console that has a good development kit is Far Cry and thats not the type of game to make LOTR maps for is it?

Sorry, I already bought the rights to a LOTR game, it's going to be an incredibly linear JRPG in an open world where you capture creatures in tiny balls.

I desperately don't want Bethesda to make a Lord of the Rings game. They would make a very good open world environment that would be populated by uninteresting characters with poor dialogue and butchered lore. As I said in another thread about this exact topic that I have no idea what happened to: Bioware would do a much better job then Bethesda, they aren't the perfect choice, but they would do a much better job with the story.
