I'm going to sell these game titles to get Skyrim.

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 5:53 am

I have absolutely no money and can't get any for about a week so I've decided instead of waiting any longer I'm going to sell these following games to GameStop for in store credit to buy Skyrim. With the aid of the %30 more credit if you trade 7 or more games and 10% more credit for being a power up rewards member, I will get a hell of a lot more money to get Skyrim. (XBOX 360): Call of Duty World at War, Call of Duty 4, Dragon Age Origins, GTA 4, GTA: Episodes from Liberty city, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, (PS2): GTA SanAndreas, GTA: Episodes From Liberty City, The Sims, The Sims 2 Pets. I know no one here really cares but I don't play these games at all anymore so tell me if you would do the same for Skyrim? :woot:

The only really good one is Dragon Age: Origins there I would see if you can keep that one and still have enough money seeing as Dragon Age 2 is a POS (imo).

Go for it. I've sunk 70 hours into my first character lvl 32 and I still plan on making at least two more.

Get rid of em. Once you start playing skyrim you won't regret your decision..and all those games are so cheap nowadays if you dud want to play them again you can buy them again down the line.

I say take the plunge mate!

I've been collecting videogames for the PC for about 16 years now, so my point of view may be a too extremist. However one the things I like the most about videogames, is the nostaligc feeling about long past beaten games and saying to myself 'Yeah, that was really good one', and in some cases I'm able to replay them. Sometimes I can't do that, just becouse of the incompatibilities regarding the operative system, what doesn't change is the 'collector' value is has for me, which goes beyond the hours of gameplay.

So if you only have to wait one week, just do it man, and keep all those games.

I tend to keep my games and replay them when I am bored sometimes. Skyrim is a good game though... you won't miss the other games once you start playing it. I managed to get lucky and someone gifted it to me on steam but I hit up redbox last week and rented it for xbox. You may want to do that first and honestly if you are paying full price for it you may just want to keep the redbox copy. They charge you $2 for 29 days then you can keep it lol.

Honestly, I think you're better off selling them on Craigslist. Gamestop isnt known to stack the chips in the customers favor when it comes to trade ins.

A waste of money I think. Considering how much money you paid for those games originally, you're barely getting anything in return. Unless you're 100% sure you never want to play those games again ever I wouldn't do it.

I know that I'd regret it, anyway. I often go back to old games.

Wow except for 1 or 2, you're selling back a bunch of crappy overrated overhyped games for Skyrim. That's almost insulting. :cryvaultboy:

The ones there I'm not interested in are the Left for Dead and Sims games. The rest are brilliant games that are full of replay value. I personally would never sell all of them, partly because of their brilliance and partly because I'm going to have a job soon.
