Correct Pronunciation

Need some help with the phonetic pronunciation of a name that i'm doing some research into. To make a long story short i'm looking into X-mas stuff going down various historical information. Along the way I found something interesting concerning old school Norse gods one in particular being Odin. The tale goes that children would leave carrots, straw, or sugar in their boots by the fire for Sleipnir Odin's 8 legged horse. Children were rewarded for their kindness with candy treats or gifts for helping out Odin's horse.

What I want to know is how do you exactly pronounce "Sleipnir" in our language (American English). Is it pronounced slip-near or does one pronounce it slip-n-r? Went to a website that had people pronouncing it and it sounded like slip near/slip-ne-er however i'm really unsure. Any help is appreciated in helping to figure out that little detail.

I can help, PM me if you need to. Sleipnir is NOT pronounced slip-nir, but more like "sleap/sleyp", I will se if I can find a clip where it's pronounced right. Remember to roll at "r", no american english "r".

"Sleypneer/Sleapneer" in your language. And remember to roll the "r".
