Meh. Never really read it, but a magazine or newspaper going out of business isn't shocking. Right now I only subscribe to OXM and that's only on my iPhone (which is awesome, always having all the issues in my pocket).

Right now physical formats are pretty much heading for the hills and being put out to pasture because of the internetz. Right now the price of papers near me have skyrocketed because people just don't read them as much. Do the online news myself while the relative i'm staying with likes to read the physical paper. Costs around 50 cents for regular issues and $1 on Sunday for 1 issue about $1.25 for another.

Used to receive Nintendo Power magazines left and right but they seem to have gone out of favor as well.

I stopped subscribing to my gaming magazines years ago. I stuffed them all in a plastic trash bag hoping to get rid of them, but they're too heavy to carry away without tearing the bag.

I was always a GamePlayers fan, myself.

Bill Donohue as "The Jaded Gamer" pieces were brilliant.

I used to get Gamepro back in the mid 90s. Sad, but not shocking. I haven't bought a magazine since 2006 and that was Metal Maniacs.

Well maybe in future we wont kill as many trees by using so much paper. Or is that still too much to hope for? probably

I don't think I've ever read a GamePro, hmm. I get GameInformer in the mail, and really only cause it's cheap, and I've been thinking of swapping it to a digital subscription. I don't know how much a GamePro subscription is, but I definitely couldn't afford something like PC Gamer (although there prices could be because I'm in the States?).
