This year both Skyrim and BF3 were released. While this is my first TES game I do love it. But as I noticed with BF3 the community is upset because the game changed too much from the old games. Now, I can see why this would upset you, but honestly those game mechanics would never sell as much as Skyrim or BF3 would. BF2 required a lot more strategy than BF3 which would also mean less people would buy it, it's how the gamers are. Same with this game and Morrowind. Sure, to some people Morrowind is the better game, but it wouldn't sell as much and Bethesda is here for money. My advice is too just look at Skyrim as its own game, it makes it a lot more enjoyable. And remember, the Creation Kit will be here soon.


So, complaints do help developers improve the game and you should complain, blind hate because this game changed mechanics helps no one.

I know not all of you are like this, but just a few percentage of the community.

And complaining about complainers helps even less.

you know honestly threads like these aren't helping anything, especially calling it blind hate, can people play skyrim and have blind hate? its not that serious, don't make it into something serious.

I have a question. If "dumbing down" (which is not what I'd call it) is such a good thing, as the OP asks, why would Beth have made anything as complex as Morrowind in the first place? If dumbing down was so obviously advantageous, why do we have any non-dumbed down games at all?
