In many interviews and previews about the game the developers hyped "completely mappable controls" yet the stick layout that I use, which is referred to as "Legacy" in CoD/Gears/Halo is absent.

(Legacy maps Move Forward/Back and Look Left/Right to the Left stick and Strafe Left/Right and look up/down to the Right stick)


Is it possible that support for this could be added in an update? and why wasn't it included in the first place?

also keep comments of "just learn the 'regular' layout" to yourself as I am doing that now but would still prefer the Legacy option if possible .....

Still doesn't let you modify the stick layout. The only option is to completely swap the Move/Look sticks.

I don't feel your pain, since Legacy always seemed silly to me. Having it added would not hinder anyone who does not use it, so there's no reason why it should not be included. It is a matter of whether there is enough demand to justify the time and effort it would take to add such an option.

I would like to see legacy patched in as well. I've modded a controller to allow the Legacy setup but one of the thumbsticks is a little dicey and I'd rather not rip it all apart to do it over again.
