Getting Songs Off My iPod.

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 12:52 pm

Ok I want to get all my songs off my iPod and onto my computer without using iTunes. However Apple seems to have tried as hard as they can to make it impossible without 3rd party software. So I downloaded a program and it worked, but its the trial version and only let me do 100 tracks. Is there a way I could transfer the files with another program or using the command prompt?

I have a similar question, so I'm going to semi-hijack this thread for a sec. Where does my computer save songs I buy on iTunes, and can I get to them at all without using iTunes?

Ok so I have an iPod with over 8000 songs on it. I bought literally ALL the songs, but I don't have the CD's anymore and I bought a lot of it online.

The thing is, I don't have the computer anymore that I used to sync it with. How can I get my songs off my iPod onto a new computer? Buying all of the albums again is not an option, seeing as how that would cost thousands of dollars literally. Already paid it once.

You could also download a program called iphonebrowser, search it up in bing or something, not hard to work out how to use (I used it to get pictures off my iPhone I couldn't delete).

Yes,

I finally got it. I just downloaded a trial program and extracted 100 tracks, then uninstalled and reinstalled then repeated.

Iphonebrowser needs a jailbroken phone last time I checked.

OP, google a program called Sharepod. It's as easy as selecting your songs and drag and dropping.

It wont sync with touches or iPhones though. I tried, even with the update that was supposed to make it work.

On Windows 7 it's libraries/music/itunes/itunes media/music
