I'm tired of paying $60 for a "beta" quality mu

The cross-platform lag players have been experiencing is unacceptable. This is an issue that should have been remedied before release. As of now, at least in my case, the online multiplayer (360) is unplayable. I thoroughly enjoy the game, but we payed full price for it. That being said, we are entitled to a smooth matchmaking and online experience. Get it fixed.

I know it's not the main point of this post, but Brink is $50, not $60.

Also, do you honestly think this post was necessary, especially when they have made plenty of announcements of fixing it? Just chill, man. It will be fixed.

I think everyone should be posting about this problem. We are entitled to a fully operational multiplayer at launch.

What's the point of paying Microsoft that annual fee for your Live! Gold Membership if they're not supplying silky-smooth dedicated servers?

I've been playing this on Steam (without any additional charges) and have only run into one or two matches where the lag was noticeable.

So, ultimately, this means one or more of the following:

  • A ) MS' servers are rubbish (either they've denied Brink's matches from being hosted on decent servers or the whole scam to extort money from 360 customers doesn't even supply decent servers for any game)

  • B ) Your ISP/connection is the culprit (though I'm pretty sure that's not likely or you would have experienced lagfests in other games)

  • C ) ID Tech 4's Netcode is a joke and can't handle the 360's server environment.

Whichever's the case, you're clearly not getting your money's worth from someone. :(

on one side, i do completely agree with alot of game dev's these days, and im not singling out beth with this, but just because you can do [censored] patch updates does not mean you can release half the game, then patch the rest in 2, 6, 12 months down the road. and when a game gets pushed back, especially as much as this one was, they could have had more full-game testing done. now, i undrstand that they may have done testing(derpty doo) but its just my guess that the odds are likely they didnt test the game in 1p or 2p modes to see if the Ally-AI will be reliable enough to actually help in the missions. and if you only carry 2 clips, why doesnt the enemy AI as well? you know what, why not just put an AI difficulty scale in the options? let players set their own customizable enemy/ally ai experience.

It's $60 on console, $50 on PC.

The usual pricing for both.
