Next TES game or another beth game in 2013/14

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 7:01 pm

so what do y'all think, should beth focus more on tes games coming out more than once every half decade, or should they continue doing other things too, even if it means trending away from tes releases?

I for one would love to see them to devote more focus to a new tes game before 2015

They should switch off between Fallout and Elder Scrolls, both are amazing games so there's no reason complain.

I think I like to see a large expansion for Skyrim next year and next TES can come two or three years later so I think 2015 would be a great year to have it.

I know the Fallout purists will put a fatwah on me for this, but I really enjoy Bethesda's direction with FO3. New Vegas is my favorite Fallout, and before that it was FO2. (Yes, I know... Obsidian did NV- it's like a conversion mod for FO3 and I love it.)

I think after Skyrim I'm done with TES for the next 5-6 years.

I think FO4 in 2013 and the next TES in 2014... Hopefully the new consoles have been released by then!

Honestly, let Obsidian do FO4 (just with a bigger world and no invisible walls) and give me TES VI sooner.

Somewhere Todd Howard said they wanted Fallout 4 before 2018.

Bethesda can take their damned sweet time.

I haven't finished the main questline in any of their output, and they've each been time sinks that have yet to collect dust.

These are the gaming equivalent of a well-worn book.

You have to be kidding... 6 years? Then the next TES will be out in like 2018! I shrug at the thought...
Edit: I know it is very much possible that it will be released in almost 6 years but i still don't want it to be like that :P

Nah, let them take their time.

Now we have lots of annual sports series, annual shooter like CoD, annual action like Assassin's Creed series and etc. The trait they share is that all of them are 99% identical in the series.

I don't want another annual RPG which is identical each game. TBH, the recent Bethesda RPGs have made me feel they are too similar to each other already(by this I mean technology, graphics, animations, voice actings, and to some extend the gameplay).

It's normally 5 years between each new TES.
I think we will have to wait until 2015-2016 or even 2017

I think we will also have open cities again :D
Open houses/caves is too much I think...
Probably in 2022. My god, I can't imagine how it's going to be...

everyone already knows that the next major Bethesda game will be a Fallout title. What we don't know is if BGS or Obsidian will be making it...

Beth has stated in the past that the company is now large enough to work on two games at once, in a staggered line, so while FO3 was finishing up they started on Skyrim, undoubtedly, while Skyrim was finishing up they started working on the next game, which is most likely FO4.

I wouldn't mind a new Fallout game. Regarding TES, just put out a few big DLCs that open up large areas around Skyrim.

I still have to play New Vegas, but I'm going to start that soon. If they do a FO4, I hope they have Obsidian write it.

What I'm hoping for is BGS to make the world and dungeon and Obsidian making the story, dialogue, choices, etc. Bethesda's Fallout 3 had a great atmosphere and "dungeons" while the story was very lackluster and Obsidian's New Vegas had a great story and dialogue with a somewhat boring atmosphere in the world and "dungeons".
