So recently at Gamestop I've been seeing the Rage commercial with 'Counting bodies to the rhythm or war drums' song by A Perfect Circle in the background, and that alone pretty much convinced me to buy the game. Sad, but true. That song is awesome, so the game should be right? LOL. Well I did the first mission and it was pretty cool. Though is this game open or more 'on rails'? I've read there are a lot of sidequests and such, but on the first mission you were pretty confined, like on the mini-map you could see the area you were 'allowed' to drive in, it didn't seem like I could just go wherever.

Also is there any real consequence in dying? I've 'died' twice so far and I'm not sure if it's something I should try to avoid or just let happen when my defib is charged rather than waste healing.

Any other tips / advice would be appreciated. I'm too tired to press on tonight, but I'm excited to continue on tomorrow (if only I didn't have a bunch of paperwork / errands to take care of :<)
