I’ve decided its time for a new T.V. My price range in 1000$ "Canadian" excluding tax. I’ve been in many Future Shops/Bestbuys looking at all the TVs and my god there’s many. I’ve narrowed some things down, 120hz, no 3d and nice High Definition. What do some of you prefer in Brand wise? Some people recommend LG who have fairly good prices/quality. Others recommend Samsung who have more pricy Tvs‘, same with Sharp, Sony. Any thoughts on who I should aim for brand wise. Or any other tips? Note, I'm going for a large size, 47-55"area LED T.V. This will be my only Christmas Christmas present for the next 20 years.

I definitely recommend Samsung if you're going for a big TV like that. Have you decided whether you want an LCD/LED tv or a Plasma tv?

Oh LED.

The new LED TVs from Samsung are not very expensive (at least not compared to what they were like 6 months ago) so I recommend you look into that.
