I need some new on-ear headphones I can use with my iPod. Preferably less than $80.

Do you need isolation?

You can wait for http://www.amazon.com/Creative-EF0060-Aurvana-Live-Headphones/dp/B000ZJZ7OA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323987375&sr=8-1 to go on sale for $60, they do frequently. Very good at that price.

Isolation isn't at all a big deal to me. I'd also prefer to not have to order it, I end up getting swamped with links to websites that only ship in the US.

Lol I buy Koss Porta Pro all the time because they are so cheap and good. I've broken 4 or so in the last couple of years but I keep buying them.. :teehee:

I see no logical reason to buy a pair of headphones that's going to break, let alone buying them again.

Koss has a lifetime warranty. You won't have to buy them again.

I suppose Grado is out of the picture for a Canadian. You could still buy their "Alessandro" line that ships worldwide, but the cheapest MS1 is $99.

If you don't want to order, what stores are around?

Walmart, Zellers, Future Shop, The Source, Best Buy. If it's in America it's usually in Canada.

So your options are Skullcandy. You'd be better off with silence IMO

Best Buy might have Sennheiser PX100 II. Those are good, but you'll probably pay too much for them.

I have Creative Fatal1ty MkII. Nobody else mentions Creative headsets these days, but it's good value for its price.

Op wants them for listening to music, not gaming.

To be honest, I use them for listening to music and I think they're really fine at that.

It's usually better to get regular headphones over headsets. Often even for gaming, with a separate mic. With headsets you're paying extra for that mic, and branding, and just because it's a headset and they know gamers will buy it.

Bear in mind, I would be wearing these in public, I'd rather not have the mic part.

Do I have good news for you: you can take the mic off. I've never used mine.
