Getting a monitor for Christmas

Post » Mon Dec 19, 2011 5:19 am

My parents have given me a budget of around 300 dollars for a Christmas present. I'm a big computer person and I already built my system, but my monitor is a lil on the small end. I have a Radeon 6970 graphics card and I've heard of certain monitors that sync up with the better cards and I could also watch TV on it in edition to playing Skyrim and whatnot. So I come here to the forums for some guidance in what to get. My folks said they'd go ahead and purchase it with their card, I just want to get something good for a decent price. Any help would be much obliged! Thanks in advance.

What size are you looking for? I have the AMD 6970 and three of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236079 They look amazing. 23" inch screens with speakers for a decent price. (The speakers are nice to have, but they really arent a replacement for a good pair of headphones IMO)
