"Longtime legal wrangling between Bethesda and Fallout is drawing to a close. Both parties recently submitted a sealed document "Joint Motion to Dismiss With Prejudice" i.e. document 167 containing the following full docket text:

"-SEALED-Joint MOTION to Seal to Temporarily Seal Joint Motion to Dismiss With Prejudice by Bethesda Softworks LLC Responses due by 1/23/2012 (Attachments: # (1) Joint Motion to Dismiss With Prejudice, # (2) Exhibit 1, # (3) Text of Proposed Order)(Stahl, Howard)"

This is a standard legal procedure when the parties reach the terms of settling agreement, meaning this legal saga will come to its end almost three years since it started."

This an important step in the settlement process. gamesas is set to respond to the status report on the 9th, followed by a follow up to the above on the 23rd.
gamesas earnings have been moved back again as well.

Also, please refrain from speaking about any fallout games in this thread other than FOOL. Plenty of other threads exist to debate which fallout game is the best/worst.
Typically these legal threads de-evolve into bickering and then flame wars.

Topics that might be of interest to ponder upon could be:

1. When do you think the settlement will come out
2. What do you think it could be worth and justification for the figure

We know that gamesas valued the MMO rights at 50 million back in the day
