I have several friends/coworkers playing TERA. I was in Open Beta, but and still not completely sold on it. It still feels like standard button mashing PVP to me, although you now have to put more effort into targeting. Basically, I only feel pressured to play it b/c friends are.

I am also into a free UO shard (uosecondage.com) and enjoy this because UO is to this day my favorite game, and I Can macro my character and not spend hours upon hours grinding away to build my character.

Plus I still like Skyrim.

There are only so many hours in the day with a full time job and fiance and frankly I hate grinding and new age MMOs where you go kill 50000 of the same mobs.

What game should I play? I value your input.

Try it with them for the first month, and cancel if you don't like it? Playing MMOs isn't so bad if you have other people to play with, even the grindy ones.

Also: refreshing combat (for an MMO).

Or just ask your friends to chip in and pre-order the standard version of the game for you. $50 and a month comes "free".
