Looks like this is your first team shooter then... Not everyone is as evolved as you. There are
always people out there who rather have a good k/d ratio than being helpful team players. The way it is it motivates you to fulfil your various duties on the field as much as possible, which helps your team, your score and your XP. And if you can aim well on top of that, winwin situation and you even get additional XP for kills. No need for k/d ratio.
