Same as when Obsidian made Alpha Protocol and it tanked. SEGA and Obsidian left it to die.

RAGE failed and made iD a laughingstock. They won't be touching this POS any more.

Ignore the hate post. As soon as the new driver from AMD is out, they can release the patch. Or at elast that is my udnerstanding, but I've long since stopped reading reguarly here. I check once a week roughly, so it is unlikely I will miss anything.

There are a couple of threads close to the top of the forum that have some better information than I though. Try and see what you can find there. Hope that was a .ittle mopre helpful

Sega tanked it, Obsidian would like to make a sequel.

Rage didn't fail. It just needs a few minor fixes (not that I have been affected. Mine worked fine) and needs more content to win the fans back. My only grump was it ended without me being able to go back and race or tear round the wilderness killing bandits.

I for one am eagerly waiting for an add-on / expansion.

I wouldn't call Rage a total failure. Its an okay soso game in my personal opinion, just not a great game. I don't think it sold as well as they would have liked. The game didn't meet up to some peoples expectations...where the fault lies on this is mixed (some blame ID...some blame the consumer). It looked good. The plain old shooting can be fun. The multiplayer is very limited and has a very short half life.

In the end my personal belief is that this game is treated like a red headed stepchild that the original parent is closed mouthed about and a bit defensive.

Being that it seems like there should have been word by now about some sort of DLC or at least the generic "Coming soon" statement....well my guess is abandonedment and you may be waiting forever for a DLC to come out. I hope I am wrong and time will tell.

But hey its only my opinion and there are plenty of other games out there.

Hopefully live and learn.

I just want to add what ever the "sales numbers" for Rage it was more like a tech demo of tech5 engine to me... I want more and will buy if it comes to light.

maybe after they fix the driver problems that so many are having.....i hope there is a dlc but we might never see one

The game's dead, they're finished with it.

They've stated officially that DLC's on its way, and if the game were dead, they'd officiall state so.
They gotta wait for final patch before DLC is out....

Hater's gotta hate. No doubt when they're through with Rage they'll move on to poking fun at the mentally disabled.

They wouldn't, because publicly announcing you've given up on a game will damage future sales. (I'm not saying that there won't be any DLC for Rage. I'm just saying that there likely won't be an announcement that there won't be any DLC even if they decide not to create any.)

In my opinion they just made 600 million dollars, probably 800-1billion dollars on Skyrim. Even if the game tanked and they are done with it they could at least release all the DLC that they took out of the game as one pack for us to ether purchase or recieve for free. It is honestly the least they could do.

A lack of content is what killed me. I even played through the game twice to try and squeeze more out. The ending was bad. I was not fond the ending but I really want to know more about this world and I do not think Id will walk away from this game world.

I'm still checking back for news... so the game's not dead to me. I'm really wanting to play it again. The problems with the game what the game is missing, not what the game is. Add more stuff and the game would be a hot sale.
