competetive gamers view on brink (360)

Well to be honest I was really hoping this game would do what it said and revolutionize shooters. After a few hours of gameplay I'm slightly disappointed but brink forces you to play in ways most competetive gamers aren't used too.

Let's start with weapons. Snipers...there literally is zero reason anyone on your team should use 1 unless they're a soldier and their watching an incredibly long escort lane. To be frank just grab an smg. They're better than ar's yeah ar's hit a little harder but the recoil bounce is atrocious on every single 1.

Graphically the game is a joke period. Yes the customization looked amazing but in game its hard to really differentiate the outfits. Hell you can't even see the cowboy hat till he hands you a biscuit. Colors was a big thing. Sure the environment is colorful but the texture is awful...post patch...and the enemy glows...

The gameplay got better as I played more and almost became enjoyable. No way am I going to devote the time to play competetive though.

the only gripe i really agree with here is the enemies glowing as it heavily covers a player's customized look, for the most part when I see enemies all i see is a red guy as opposed to their minutely customized figure. also I think it gives too much of an unnecessary advantage, being able to see enemies clearly through stairs or hiding behind stuff. i wouldn't mind if it was just a very very faint red outline as opposed to the complete "bubble" effect around the player
