I looked for the original post and after 5 pages couldn't find it, so sorry I started a new topic to cover this.

Originally I posted a point in a thread referring to game fixes that I personally stated were in essence "...buggy rockets...."

I am here now to say that the rockets are not the problem.

After many weeks and months of serious gameplay and research, I have discovered that there are TWO spawn bandit cars in the open area up by Dead City, that you cannot get credit for.

I don't care what you kill them with, rockets, chain guns, etc., when you get back to Sally's the payoff is not there.
There are no racing certificates for these kills, and you will not be paid.

It has come to my attention that for some reason these TWO bandits do not leave or give you an inventory record of the kill.

My suggestion to everyone in this forum and who plays this game to leave them the "F" alone. Otherwise you will spend a small fortune taking them out and you will not gain credit or cash for the TWO bandits.

Now, on the issue of the "mission" kills in this area - you will indeed gain credit and cash for mission kills for X number cars for X number dollars.

But on a casual drive through of this area, these two cars spawn each and every time. I now personally ignore them entirely and go on about my business.

These two cars will not credit or cash your account.

I would like to hear feedback from others on this subject.

Hi,

I'm not aware of this myself. I'd like to try it out though. I have some questions first.

Where exactly is this area on the map? Can you post up a picture to show the area?

What is the level and name of the bandits when they appear?

I don't quite understand what you mean by mission kills. How is this different to the issue of the two bandit cars that spawn?

I had noticed that aswell - though I figured it wasn't so much of a problem either way. I easily made 3000$ within the game by simply playing that card game - it's ridicolously easy once you get the hang of it and have some good cards.

This isn't a maqjor problem for those of us who can rack up 3 or 4 grand by this point.

BUT.....this will be a MAJOR problem for those on their first run through and little to no funding.

This is a game mechanics problem. First off, you are told you wil get a payoff from Sally at the bar for bandit kills and also on a equal note you will also get racing certificates.

Not for these guys you wont.

Which means there is a glitch in this bandit spawn.

If you don't already know where Dead City area is, then you haven't played long enough yet.

I will not post spoliers. One way or the other.

I have finished the game and I am aware of how to get to the Dead City. Just wanted confirmation before I go back in to it.

Pretty sure I've encountered more than two bandits that I haven't been paid for out in the Wasteland.

I don't get what you mean about losing money, she gives you TEN DOLLARS and a race certificate per bounty. Ten dollars. lol What is it twenty dollars for eight rockets or something? So you're missing out on eight rockets because she doesn't ante up for two bandits?

My advice for anyone struggling with money on their first go: just sell ammo for the weapons you don't use. For me on my first go this was Steel AR rounds (I kept the the Feltrite rounds), Pistol rounds, Authority MG rounds (I kept the x2 rounds), it's really, really hard to be broke with so much ammo to sell. :biggrin:
