Dunes in the wasteland

If you do get bored, or want to try something different, I've found that driving around in the Wasteland can be quite entertaining, and can get you to places you really probably shouldn't be able to get to. The idea is to get a car (preferably with msot health, so Monarch, but it would probably be fun in the others) and drive staight at any rockfaces that have a sand dune beneath them, because you will generallly have enough speed to go up the sand dune and drive up the wall. Then you can land in some reallly strange places, on top on the cliffs, on ridges etc. You can't get too high cos there is an invisible roof, but trust me, it should be a good 10 minutes worth of entertainment, depending on how much you like seeing the car fly off in funny directions.

If you don't know any spots to try, I suggest the first place you meet bandit vehicles. There are some great sand dunes there. It's just after the barrier you break down near the start of the game.

I've found some hidden caches of stuff in one of these places before - there's a desert spore and a stanley express mailbox. Reminds me of the secret in Quake 2 that you can only access by rocket-jumping (and - of course - they put up a "you crazy rocket jumpers!" message when you found it).

LOl, yeah, it's nice to see all the little secrets everywhere. Most of them have literally nothing there, but it's still fun to test the boundaries of the map and just explore.
