It's been a while.

It's been a while since I've been here. I see people are still upset about the ending, I actually enjoyed it. I thought rate was a great game ending and all. I'm sorry but but the wingstick was my favorite weapon in the last 5 years, also I think rage had the best gun mechanics, the shotgun was the best feeling shotgun of any game. The only problem is dlc. What ever happened to all the dlc that was promised. I remember reading that rage had a ton of dlc on the way and still nothing. What ever happened or was that just a rumor.

Anyway I think I'll replay rage again but I really wanted to wait for dlc. Is the texture pop in still noticeable or did they finally patch that:ps3?

They really can't do anything about the texture pop in. The bottleneck lies in the fact that they're streaming texture data off of the game medium rather than straight out of RAM. If you install the game to your HDD then it will be much improved, however.

I agree with you in that Rage had some great gun mechanics. In fact I think it had some of the most refined gunplay of any game I've ever played.

As for the DLC, that wasn't just a rumor. Since Rage's release id has been working on a lot of different stuff for DLC. But when Rage first came out, DLC wasn't a top priority, and that was made even more so when id started getting backlash for all the technical problems that Rage had at launch. Following that all of the WIP DLC was put on the back burner and only now that the whole issue has begun to calm down are they really getting back to it.

In terms of playing RAGE on a console, you have to understand that the hardware just wasn't designed for this sort of thing. My computer is a few years old now (still a great machine), but it has no issue with texture popping, or at least so infrequently does texture popping occur that I don't worry about it at all.

Guns were sick, would like to see more games implement the idea, and i did like the wingsticks, but they should have been far more expensive, as they were quite over powered in my opinion.

LoL, "quite" is the understatement of the century! xD
They are badass, but when you have your backpack full of them, they stop being badass entirely. I think that actually wingsticks are something that should've have been forcefully not in the shops, that is, the player should've had to build them as he found or bought blads and rope, and not so cheap.
