I’ve recently got back into FPS shooters after completing Killzone2, a friend suggested Brink which has a faster pace then most FPS. Anyway I totally luv playing Brink I think it’s really cool and I’ve decided to research FPS for my degree (more time playing Brink lol) anyway if anyone can spare a few minutes to answer some questions, it would be great to hear your opinion.

Please state an opinion. Brink has a strong point in the team co-operation aspect. I would appreciate more choice such as the inclusion of female charcters too. I like how different character types have their own strengths and weaknesses, making for good replay value in the story mode. More use of a larger map would be appreciated. Overall a very good game that stansd out. I keep coming back to it, albeit for a fifteen minute blast in career mode these days...but also occasionally for some online when I have the time (other games keep getting in the way )

(Music, movies and books ect) Generally, yes. But I think it's the gameplay mechanics and objective based combat that's the real reason why the diehard Brink players (like myself) stuck with it even though it got poor reviews.

On a completely different tangent, I think it's a damn shame the developers have chosen not to continue support for Brink. The game had, and still has potential. But seeing as Bethesda's other IPs struggled or failed out of the gates as well (that being RAGE and Skyrim), compounded by the mess Brink was in the early stages...such is to be expected. I would say "let's hope they learn from these mistakes" in the future, but chances are they won't. Such is the nature of the beast. Brink is a solid B-list game. Very addicting, and very different from conventional FPS games. It's the fact at at release the game was essentially still a Beta and it took them months to fix the glaring issues the game had (lag, crappy AI, poor weapon balancing) and even longer to offer up any new content (which wasn't even much to begin with) that eventually lead to Brink's slow, impending death. It's not dead yet, but give it a few more months...holiday season 2012 at the latest...and Brink will be a passing memory of a game that could have...and SHOULD have been great, but because of greed, poor advertising and many other factors, never lived up to it's lofty hype.

Thats sad I hadn't heard but it was to be expected I guess. Oh well I just keep playing by myself

Since when is a gamer defined as hardcoe or not by their choice of platform? It has absolutely nothing to do with you're style of play... (Sure, most PC gamers are hardcoe, and vice versa for consoles, but assuming they are all the same is just biased).
