Not to throw water on your "let's save Brink party" but when a game has no central servers to be shut down and could go on indefinitely because it is P2P then it comes down to the player base to keep it going and that just hasn't happened. It's nice to see a current attempt on here from the Xbox players to keep a community going and I wish them the best of luck. On the PS3 end we tried to kick start a player run thing back in July when every one was crying out for clan support and we didn't have it yet. We had a forum all set up for clans, everyone could have had a public/private section and clan matches would have been beyond easy to organize but very few players/clans seemed to care. Tried again when the clan system launched completely broken but again players were more inclined to just complain about everything rather than do something. All the infrastructure was in place on our end to have on going competitive matches for as long as people wanted to play but the interest wasn't there from the players. It was like what I call "martyr syndrome", not happy unless you have something to complain about...a functioning player run clan system...players wouldn't have anything to complain about and where is the fun in that.
I've got my Goons talking about coming back to play a bit and NWG forum is going to organize an anniversary thing, forum here has been really dead for quite a while now but I'll announce details here anyways, or anyone is welcome to come by and check us out.
